Love Does Mexico House Build

Before we left for this Mexico build trip, Bob Goff reminded us, “Keep your head on a swivel for all God is doing around you. Don’t be so focused on the task that you miss the moments of wonder.” I carried those words with me throughout the trip—especially as a photographer, where my job is to capture the beauty unfolding all around me.

And this trip was full of it. From battling rain and pulling trucks out of the mud to laughing through every challenge, every moment felt like an adventure. We kept joking, “Can you imagine how boring this would be if it wasn’t raining?” But the rain only made it more special, and looking for the good made the good even better.

The best moment? Without a doubt, hugging the family as we handed them the keys to their new home—knowing that for the first time, they had a safe, dry place to call their own.

I’ve learned when Love Does invites you on an adventure, you just say yes. It’s always meaningful, always memorable, and always encouraging. Grateful to have been part of this build and to have captured the moments I’ll never forget.
