The Real Squeeze is a podcast created by Renee Finley to share the stories of how to turn some life’s sourest lemons into something like lemonade. The aim of the podcast is to be raw and vulnerable while still making room for laughter even when sharing some of the heaviest stories around loss, sickness, grief, infertility, and more. Renee asked me to help bring her podcast vision to life through a combination of photography and design. I began with a photoshoot of Renee and then used the images to create a podcast cover and supporting branding elements including: typography, color pallet, and illustrations. Renee wanted the branding to reflect her desire to make the podcast a joyful place where difficult topics are approached in an approachable manner.
